Easy Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll Casserole (Dump-and-Bake!)

There’s a very specific week every year usually mid-September when your heart is still holding onto summer, but your kitchen starts craving pumpkin spice anyway. This casserole is what happens when you stop fighting it.

It’s got all the cozy, melt-in-your-mouth magic of a cinnamon roll, all the ease of a dump-and-bake dish, and just enough pumpkin to make it feel like fall without asking you to commit to a whole Thanksgiving spread. Dump it in the pan, stir, bake.

That’s it!

No kneading, no proofing, no fuss. Just a warm, gooey, cinnamon-swirled pan of comfort that’s ready before your coffee gets cold.

Tips & Variations

  • Make it ahead: Assemble the night before, cover, and refrigerate. Bake fresh in the morning. Great for Thanksgiving morning when the oven’s about to get busy.
  • Extra fall flavor: A sprinkle of chopped pecans or a swirl of caramel on top before baking never hurts.
  • Serving: Best served warm, with the icing packet drizzled on right before serving so it stays glossy instead of soaking in.

FAQ Section

Is this the same as a dump cake? Not quite! Dump cakes are typically built on a box cake mix. This one starts with canned cinnamon rolls, so it’s really a cinnamon roll casserole but it comes together the exact same dump-and-bake way, so if you love dump cakes, you’ll feel right at home here.

Can I make this for Thanksgiving morning? Absolutely, this is an ideal Thanksgiving breakfast because it bakes hands-off while you focus on the main event. Assemble it the night before and pop it in the oven first thing.

Can I freeze leftovers? Yes, let it cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
