Dollar Tree Boho Decor DIY Wall Decor Makeover: Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Prepare Your Dollar Tree Craft Workspace

Before starting any DIY project, it’s important to set up a clean and organized workspace. Lay down some newspaper or a plastic sheet to protect your working surface from any paint spills or stains.

Step 2: Choose Your Colors

Select two paint colors that will create a harmonious effect for girl’s nursery. Consider your room’s color scheme and choose shades that complement it. For instance, if your room features a neutral palette, you might opt for varying shades of pink or gray.

Step 3: Prep the Dollar Tree Wall Art

Place your Dollar Tree sign on the protected surface and ensure it’s clean and free from dust. If needed, lightly sand the sign to create a smoother surface for painting. Once clean, add the painters’ tape where you would like the different paint to be. I measured how big my quote stencil was for the pink area.

TIP: For glitter Dollar Tree signs spray a fine mist of water and sand off the glitter.

Step 4: Apply The Paint Colors For Baby Girl Nursery

Start by applying each color from your chosen palette onto the sign using a paintbrush. Make sure to cover the sign evenly and let it dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Once the painted background is dry, select a Chalk couture quote stencil design and chalk paste color. Position the stencil on the wall art. Dip your squeegee lightly into the chalk paste and gently squeegee it over the stencil, making sure not to apply too much pressure at once.
