Torn book pages were attached to the Box Frame surface using Mod Podge. Butterfly underlayer was chalked using Dune paste on watercolor paper. Watered-down Black Velvet, Camel, Dune, Papaya, and Tide were used to paint the wings with a watercolor effect. Once dry, the top layer was chalked again with Black Velvet paste. Butterfly halves were cut out and adhered to the inner edges of the box frames. Only the body was glued to allow the wings to stand up from the Box Frame.
