Are you a fan of the farmhouse design style? I think it’s been around for a long time! Thanks to Joanna & Chip Gaines for making it mainstream. Who doesn’t love some shiplap?? Do you agree? If so, I think you’ll adore this farmhouse wood round sign. The best part is you can personalize by changing up the colors to match your style. This video steps you through the process to create your own.

Behind The Scenes

Step 1: Choose 2 different colors of paint and/or stain. This can be stain, acrylic, or interior paint.

Step 2. Start with the color you want to ‘peek’ through. I used black first. Paint the board and let it dry.

Step 3: Paint your next layer with the second color choice. Let it dry.

Step 4: Sand. You can use a sanding block or an electric sander. I used an electric sander. I sanded around the edges. If you want it more distressed keep sanding.

Step 5: Seal your piece with surface wax.

Step 6:Design your wood sign with Chalk Couture silk screen transfer. View the video tutorial below for full details.
