Behind The Scenes
Step 1: Choose 2 different colors of paint and/or stain. This can be stain, acrylic, or interior paint.
Step 2. Start with the color you want to ‘peek’ through. I used black first. Paint the board and let it dry.
Step 3: Paint your next layer with the second color choice. Let it dry.
Step 4: Sand. You can use a sanding block or an electric sander. I used an electric sander. I sanded around the edges. If you want it more distressed keep sanding.
Step 5: Seal your piece with surface wax.

- 24″ wood round found at your local hardware store.
- Two different paint and/or stain colors to match your home decor.

- Chalkologyâ„¢ paste to match your project.
- Squeegee
- Sprayer Sealer
- Sander ( to distress)
- Rope to attach to the back
- Staple gun to attach the rope to the wood round for hanging.
- Surface Wax
